How MINT Mobile Auto Detailing collects, uses, and protects the
information you share with us.

Last updated: June 25, 2026

MINT Mobile Auto Detailing (“MINT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile auto detailing business based in Calgary, Alberta. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices and rights you have.

Accountability

We are responsible for the personal information in our custody and under our control. We have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this policy and applicable privacy laws. You can reach our Privacy Officer using the contact details at the end of this policy.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to provide our services and run our business. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact & identity: your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Service details: the address or location where we’ll detail your vehicle, vehicle make, model and condition, and the services, add-ons, and appointment times you choose.
  • Payment information: card payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Square). We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
  • Communications: records of your messages, emails, calls, reviews, and feedback.
  • Website & technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

How We Collect It

  • Directly from you — when you complete a form, book a service, call, email, or message us.
  • Automatically — through cookies and analytics when you use our website.
  • From service providers — for example, confirmation from our payment provider that a payment was completed.

Why We Collect and Use Your Information

We identify the purposes for which we collect personal information at or before the time we collect it. We use your information to:

  • Provide, schedule, and complete your detailing service.
  • Communicate with you and send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts.
  • Process payments and manage our records.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • With your consent, send you promotions, offers, and updates.
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

Consent

By providing your personal information and using our services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information for the purposes described in this policy. In some cases your consent is express (for example, opting in to marketing emails); in others it is implied by your use of our services. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice — though doing so may limit our ability to provide certain services.

In keeping with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we send commercial electronic messages only where we have your consent, and we include an unsubscribe option in every such message.

How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate — such as our payment processor (Square), email and scheduling providers, website host, and analytics providers — who are authorized to use your information only to perform services on our behalf.
  • Where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of others.
  • In connection with a business transaction (such as a sale or reorganization), subject to appropriate safeguards.

Service Providers Outside Canada

Some of our service providers (for example, payment, email, analytics, and hosting providers) may store or process your information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. While outside Canada, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and may be accessible to their courts, law enforcement, and government authorities. You may contact our Privacy Officer for information about our policies and practices regarding service providers located outside Canada, including how to reach them.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to help us understand how it is used (for example, through analytics tools such as Google Analytics). You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may not function properly without them.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely destroy, delete, or anonymize it.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect it against loss or theft, and against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying, or modification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work diligently to protect the information you entrust to us.

Your Rights: Access and Correction

Under PIPA, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to learn how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, and to request corrections to information that is inaccurate or incomplete. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer below. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally within 45 days under PIPA). We may need to verify your identity first, and a minimal fee may apply to certain access requests — if so, we will let you know in advance.

Withdrawing Consent and Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from our marketing messages at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. To withdraw other consents, please contact our Privacy Officer.

Children’s Privacy

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services (for example, social media, payment, or booking platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and any material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
